I agree.
I dare say that one in 14 would be a stretch for quantifying American coin collectors, let alone those who collect this series.

I was just about to go back and add that you might not even have 1 in 14 coin collectors collecting the series but I see Jbuck beat me to it

For those of you need an excuse to save your money: Save all those MS quarters you got in changes and put them in your closet for the rainy day..... if they go up in value, good for you; if not, you still have the quarter that cost 25cents.... beat having your money in the banks saving account for 0.1% return. Just my Two Cents.

The only ATB Quarters I can see saving are the S Mint circulation coins. Those are the instant keys of the series.

If these do not escalate in price, you actually will lose money hoarding them due to the amount of purchasing power our money loses over time! I am thinking of getting some of the silver proofs though as these will not devalue.

I have to agree with Earle: Saving a few or may be a roll of each design S-mint coins are OK, hoarding is a different story.

a roll of each location would be hoarding.... considering there are 56 locations...that would be over 2,200 quarters. I also just don't think that paying a premium for the s quarters to hold onto would make any more sense then holding onto the circulation quality coins by paying face to get them...

I think from here on, in addition to the usual roll of each I get from the mint, I will be getting bags of the S mint business strikes and putting them in air-tite holders, I did this with the white mountain quarter so I think I will keep it up, now just to find a folder that will hold all 5 designs for each quarter.

ok so it looks like the 270 million mintage was wrong... I'm looking at wikipedias ATB's page and its saying a total mintage of 176,400,000. it must be trending down after that denali spike
