Anybody know when the butterfly coins go up for sale at the post offices?
Sometime in April I'm guessing?

I know. April 6th the lady said at my Canada Post. Only 2 coins and since sold out during MC if you are in a pretty busy town don't expect if there is a line up. XD Maybe call and ask if they can reserve. Mine said some may not even get them.

unclekim has it, the same thing happened during the bumble bee release. Everyone jacked their prices pretty much immediately. I think the bee became available for a short period in general release and Gatewest dropped their prices shortly, but they went back up as soon as the Mint announced a sell out.
Keep an eye open everywhere, you might be able to score one at or near cost from a dealer on release day if you're vigilant.

My PO lady said she had to compete with other post offices, there are no guarantees. She gives up Her lunch break, so she can try and get the popular coins. I had asked her last week, I know the time is 11am for Alberta to log on. It's very competive for the post offices. I just cannot recall the date. Rox

The local post offices are able to order on Mar. 28, at 1:00 PM EST. Whether they can get any is another matter.

And if you know the corporate Canada Post outlets, a friendly Canada Post employee can pass along their employee discount on these coins!

^^ I don't think that's true, I work with the company and I can't even get a discount on a stamp lol
I managed to get 5 Butterfly's, but with the price at 150$, it's going to be hard for people to actually flip and make a profit with the mark up already so high.

You make take as example 5 Penny set. This is not the same, because the set is wonderful numismatic product, but this coin (Bumble bee) has a wide target group. It will be profit, not so high,bu will be. I also see it very "trade-able" ...

Nothing new on Mint for public yet.
I thought Someone said the new coins should be available today.

Maybe a 1:30 like yesterday? Could happen any time.

The MC pre-order period is longer than one day.

It's normally about a week. Shipping dates for the new coins are 09 Apr 2013 (except for the Venetian Glass Butterfly which probably won't be until late Apr)

Why there is an exception in shipping date for Venetian Glass Butterfly?
