Pretty much all previous ultra high relief coins are less than 31g.. examples are the "The Queen's Portrait (30.75g), "Vignette of Royalty" series (30g each), "The Sun" (30g) and the "Continuity of the Crown" series (30g each).
AFAIK, the "summer moon mask" coin is NOT an ultra high relief coin. It is just the use of different finishes make the mask look like it was raised above the field.

What were the issue prices of those coins and what are they selling for today?

If you use the past experience as indiction of the future Grandma Moon Mask coin then you might be disappointed... The Queen was released for 130 (no tax), and should still be available at release price. The Vigneete of Royality were released for 100-105$ + tax, still available at GateWest, but sometimes you can get them for ~70$ on ebay. The Continutity of the Crown series were released at 110$each + tax, and I think they are on sale at CA for 85$+tax each. The Sun was release for 140$ I think, and is the only one that is being sold on ebay at higher than release price (over 200$).

Shopaholic I'm pretty sure I read specifically that it's ultra high relief. Even on the ebay link to the moon mask on the previous page you can see the words behind it saying "high relief"

@Coin Chick... do you mean the "Grandma Moon Mask (coming next month)" or the "Summer Moon Mask (2009)"?

Thanks for the statistics. Very helpful with my decision. I'm wondering if the high relief and high price is going to drive people away. I remember people talking about the duck coins and look what happened especially for a price of $70 for 1/2oz. Now people are stocking up at Canada Post.

Shopaholic The 2013 one. I'm guessing you were talking 2009. Sorry.

Thanks for the link ;) I cant believe the nice looking bee coin is $70 for the size of coin...Think I like the Maple Tree the best...going to save some $$$ & pass on the moon and glass butterfly.

To be honest, when I saw the maple tree coin, I didn't think much of it. In fact I thought it looks fugly.... but looking carefully at it again, I can see what you guys are looking at. I begin to like that coin more.
Edit: I know there will never be a happy median, but I find the monthly release (base on this year release so far) is a bit too much for me. I personally would prefer one release every 2 months to give some of our credit cards a break and give some coins a chance to survive.
