thq Pillar of the Community United States 3343 Posts	Posted 04/30/2007 8:25 pm I like the idea of dredging through thousands of dollars worth of rolls, but I do well enough with the concentrate. A lot of dealers don't pay much attention to what they put in the cans of common unsorted coins. I've gone through hundreds of walkers at a sitting - usually finding nothing rarer than mid 30's common dates, but on one occasion I pulled out 6 pre-1930's, the best of which was a 1923-S in F, which cost me the same $4 as any coin in the can. I've done even better with Peace dollars - no 1928's, but I used to find the 1934-S's in F-VF, and still find 1927P/D/S and 1934P/D, sometimes up to XF grade. sn31 Pillar of the Community United States 773 Posts	Posted 04/30/2007 11:38 pm I go throughmy dealers box of world coins occasionally,and I find some neat coins sometimes. For instance,I found an 1876 Canadian large cent in Fine condition,and paid a quarter for it,also it was one I need for my collection of them. I should be more into roll searching,and such since I love the possible surprise,it's just finding the time to do it. Sounds like you found some neat coins.Happy searching!! :) sn31. josie Valued Member Ireland 498 Posts	Posted 05/01/2007 06:41 am I do go to tray or cans to look for coins maybe they are to busy or they are minding the high grade coins or good coins. Sometimes I do find other coins that I like for 3 euro downwards for Fair AND Fine condition. I notice some coinshop on the web are very organized well most of them but some coinshop here most coins are all over his place but he is organized to a point I think. Report this Post to the Staff
