Got a pretty nifty score today when I picked up ten rolls of nickels from one of my local banks. Each roll was consisted of a single year!
Highlights:
1 roll 1973 1 roll 1977 1 roll 1978 2 roll 1979
as well as
1 roll 1986 1 roll 1989 1 roll 1994 1 roll 1998
The other two were 2003 and 2007.
Not bad. Must have been from somebody's hoard or something.

Thats awesome ! It sure sounds like someones former hoard - those are always the most interesting finds; and I guess you also saved a whole bunch of coins from the ARP

@DaytR: It's finds like that that keep me coming back. I find nickels to be the most interesting for coin roll hunting in Canada as the odds of finding any silver are infinitesimally small. Two silver dimes is all I have to show for other denominations. For nickels, finding pre-1982 100% Ni nickels is still quite common. And yes, it felt good saving them from the melting pot.

Can you still get canadian cent rolls in canada? If so, would anyone on here want to make a trade or somthing? I think it would be cool to search canadian rolls.

I can still get penny rolls from the bank. The quantity varies from week to week. Send me a message with what you have in mind and we'll go from there.
I picked up 12 rolls of pennies and a box of nickels at the bank today. Nothing too notable in the pennies until I got to the last roll which had 1937, 1940 and 1949 wheat cents. Notable finds for the nickels were a 1938, a really nice 1964 and a 2 1991's. One of the 1991's was really nice and is an upgrade for my set.
The bank also had a whole box of 2013 mint wrapped nickel rolls so I took one of those as well.

I posted this find in the US Modern section but thought I would let you know, I found a 1988 LMC with the rev of 1989, that means the FG initials are from 1989 on an 88. I'm getting about $3 to $4 US out of every box, now on box 33

I had a stock pile of boxes that I got before the bank said no, I also did not do anything with them during the summer.

I just found a new source for pennies. Went through approximately $30 worth already. Found my oldest wheat so far, a 1910. Also a handful of King Georges and newer wheat cents as well as some BUs from the 1980s, 1970s and one from 1964. Picked up a box today. Stay tuned for more.
