Does anybody know that if those casinos near the US-Canada border still use real coins for slot machines?

Picked up another six rolls of pennies. They've been added to my already large backlog of penny rolls. @o-train: I am doing the same. Trying to get a roll for each year dating as far back as possible.

I got four rolls of dimes today but didn't get much.
1 hole filler, 1988.
4, 2001, (not volunteers) I don't find much of these.
I'm probably going to stick with nickels.

Went to the Plains of Abraham today. A vending machine gave me a 1958 nickel! I also got 3 nickel nickels, 2 American nickels, 1 Secord quarter (non-colourized), 1 American quarter, and 1 Mountie quarter. Thanks, Americans! I also traded a toonie for 2 American singles, which is probably worth it.

today I stopped at the bank.. and I normally exchange a few hundred worth of rolls for new ones to sort through.. I received 2 plastic wrap mint quarter rolls which I dont see often.. however.. 1 has a 2003 caribou on one side, and a new effigy queen on the other with the RCM mint mark underneath.. 2003 quarters, new or old effigy normally have a p under the queen..
Is this normal to have a mixed year mint roll like this?

The second roll I got was head/head with one side having the 2013 under the queen, assuming its an 1812 quarter, and the other side has mint mark under the queen... Any other mint rolls I've seen or picked up were never mixed like that, so it confused me a bit... debating on cracking them open...

I have also seen mixed quarter rolls in the clear plastic wrap. I think maybe those ones just look like mint wrapped rolls but are slightly different (not sure).

Went through the 7 rolls of pennies I was saving from yesterday. A couple of the rolls were all copper except for 1-2 pennies. Found 10 1967's, 15 young Elizabeth and 3 George VI's including 1943 and 1948. Also found 1 Wheat penny. Was hoping for a George V but still happy.

It is not a mint roll. In Canada...some of the coin distribution centers have started using the clear plastic rolls (Same as the mint rolls) to reroll and distribute the coins. I know Brinks in the states now uses the same process. The white distribution center rolls are going to be a thing of the past. I have opened several hundred rolls of the distribution center clear wrapped nickels. Nothing older then 2000 in any of them which knew ahead of time. I was searching them for the 2000P nickels. Not to long before the only rolls worth searching will be the customer wrapped rolls. Especially considering the government has started the recovery program...pulling all the nickel coins from circulation and the cent gone as well. Sigh.

Picked up 4 boxes and 15 rolls from the bank and went through the 15 rolls. Found a 1948 and a Wheat penny. The bank where I'm getting small cents seems to be getting quite a steady stream of pennies in which is nice. Have 5 boxes to go through now.

Congratz o-train on having a bank that does not mind giving you their cents. I have one bank in my location but I'm lucky if I get 1 box a week. I need to work a few of the other banks and see if I can get them to give up the cents. It will save them money as they have to pay to ship them. I will see if I can get a few more. In the mean time...I have been hitting the nickels. Did 2 boxes of nickels last night. Not much to report from it. Managed about 8 1966's and a couple 1970 & 1991 as well. I believe there were 4 2000P worth keeping. I have a box of cents that I'm going to work on tonight. Hope to make a few good finds. I will report if anything worth reporting. I need to get some pics taken of some decent finds as of late. A nice fissure planchet.

Thanks cladhunter13. I talked with the teller today and it seems like a lot of people/businesses are bringing in their pennies. I would try RBC's over TD's and avoid any bank with a coinstar machine. I don't have to ask for the pennies anymore. My regular teller was at the front "welcome" desk but she came over to the business section for me. Looked through the boxes and noticed a few of the rolls were low so she gave me 5 free rolls, really nice.

I'm just waiting on my scale so I can figure out how many pounds of copper I've pulled so far. My wife is getting annoyed because her shoe rack has also become my coin storage area.

Went through another box today. I've looked at so many 2006's that I'm starting to be able to separate the magnetic from the non-magnetic based on sight alone. The magnetic ones seem to have a deeper golden colour (but I still use a magnet).

Pulled a bunch of wheat pennies with the oldest being 1928. Eventually I'll go through them and look for possible key dates. Also found some Canadian cents from the 1940's. Rarely find anything before 1940 but I noticed 1949 is also a tough year for me.

Have you found any 1937s? I haven't even been able to find them at stores for some reason.

No, we don't seem to get many San Francisco mint marks around here. I only have 1. Went through my wheat pennies and not surprisingly I don't have any rare dates: 1912, 1919, 1925, 1928, 1929, 1934 1935, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1942D, 1943 Steel, 1944, 1944D, 1945, 1945D, 1946, 1946D, 1947, 1947D, 1948, 1949, 1949D, 1950D, 1951D, 1952, 1952D, 1953D, 1953S, 1954, 1954D, 1955, 1955D, 1956, 1956D, 1957, 1957D, 1958, 1958D.
