It's been a little while since I have found any silver but the cold streak ended this morning when I snagged a mackerel out of 10 rolls I grabbed yesterday:) gotta love the feeling when silver pops up in a roll! Still no silver quarters yet. I think this makes 15 silver dimes so far and still no 1970! The elusive 1970s drive me nuts, all I need is the dime now.

Nice find, Wrekkdd!
I'm probably one of the very few people in the States to find a 1970-dated Canadian coin that wasn't a penny. A few years ago, found a shiny new 1970 Canadian Nickel in a hoard of older US cents and nickels that had been put away in the early 70s.

@John77, That's definitely a lucky find. I fount probably 200+ pre 1970 nickels before I found my first one in ok condition. And iv searched thousands of Canadian nickel rolls. I got the quarter as a gift with a purchase from another member here. The dime on my list. I want to find it roll hunting, even though if condition wise it was worth face it would be a better roll hunting find for me then silver.

I felt so lucky to find that - it was early 2017 now that I look back on my records. As for your search for the 1970 Canadian dime, I totally am with you... I've found a couple of 1970-S small date Lincolns, but never a 1960 small date. Would love to find one someday. You always want to cross stuff off the bucket lists.

Four more wheaties including my first steel? and a 1929 high 9. I must have gotten someone's old penny jar I think. Every date from 1928-2001 minus 1931 and 1954.

The 1970 nickel find was very exciting. I grabbed 20 rolls of dimes today from my favorite branch, unfortunately almost every roll had some of the worst shape modern coins I have ever seen. Had some older dates but nothing I needed, most of the dimes liked like they were buried in the ground for a few years then dumped into a fountain for a few weeks, then sat in the sun to dry them.... Basically alot of rust and weird toning and just horrible lol. Hopefully the 5cent rolls I picked up will be better. This bank always has several boxes of rolls for me on Saturdays but as I'm short on cash due to Christmas I could only grab 1 box. I prefer customer paper rolls due to the fact there easier to search. This branch has been great and goes out of there way to open boxes to find me full customer wrapped boxes, which is rare. Wish me luck:) many earlier dates and a few varieties I still need but not holding my breath lol.

That 1939-D Lincoln is actually quite a nice find - the newest regular production Lincoln (non-variety) I've never found. They only made a little more than 15 million of them.

Can't get away from 2021 cad quarters and now US 2021's are invading. Actually I think it's a cool design and thought I'd show my fellow countrymen.
