Maybe that fun group of folks (who're known to make copies of just about everything down to and even including
the humble Sunshine Mint 1oz silver bar) who are located on the mainland to the immediate west of where you are...

I bloody hate the design of the Noah's Ark coin which is a shame because it's the only mass produced silver bullion coin that I don't own at least one copy of.

Look at the bright side---at least it's not the adorable cute fluffy kitten coin of the month, the poisonous something coin of the week, the anti-govt round of the
day or the endangered wildlife coin of the hour... and it's not Dr Who, Harry Potter, Transformers, Star Wars, or Star Trek... and it doesn't cost $110-$160/oz...

The Noah's Ark may not be a reknowned source of aesthetic delight but when I consider what it isn't, I think it has a lot going for it. Plus--it comes in 5 kilo,
1 kilo, 10oz, 5oz, 1oz, 1/2oz and 1/4oz sizes. Not many bullion coins try so hard to accommodate all the different levels of buyer's budgets.

Still, though---obviously, none of the above serves to change the design of the coin.

An online vendor had the 2013 1oz. Arks on sale recently ($1.89 over spot), so, I decided to get some to check them out. I think these look much better in person.. shiny, proof-like with 2 nice looking sides. I like'em!
With spot price around $18.72, I ordered MORE before the sale price went away. Underrated govt. issued bullion coin, IMHO.

They are quite nice, but I would not purchase at the premium price. I would buy if pricing was optimal.

A little background on this issue:

http://www.armenianweekly.com/2011/...%80%99s-ark/

APMEX currently sells the one ounce for $22.05 US (about $3 over spot at this point in time) - I'm adding that link not as a recommendation but rather just for informational purposes, and access to a good image of the coin:

They make a 5oz Noah's Ark, and I almost pulled the trigger, but I had just made a gold purchase, so that blew the Ark out of the water.

From what I was told, after being warned to stay on the straight and narrow, TBK actually may have left on his own accord due to minor philosophical differences with respects to Coin Community rules and regs.

I believe Hawk's just busy doing fatherly tasks and all the sundry duties that the position demands. Hopefully, he'll be back once he gets on top of things.
