Another newp. This one has some weakness in the strike but after looking at many coins of this emperor, I felt this one would work good for my needs.

Decentius 350-353 AD, Centenionalis, Arelate mint 351-352 AD, F mint mark.
4.50grams. Obverse: Head of Decentius, "DN DECENTIVS CAESAR". Reverse: Two victories standing, facing one another, holding a wreath inscribed "VOT V MVLT X", "F" below "VICTORIAE DDNN AVG ET CAES","SAR" in exergue. RIC VIII Arles 174

Great coin - a mint I havent heard of!

You bought the set I see- Decentius and Magnentius.

Do you reckon you'll get Delmatius, Hannabalianus, Constans, Constantine II and Constantius II together? That would be one heck of a set!

Ben I picked up Delmatius a couple days ago. Already have Constans, Constantine II and Constantius II. I am looking for a decent Hannabalianus that is not too expensive.

Very nice pickup. I know where you got this coin as well since I've been on the hunt for a Decentius myself.

Coins from this dealer tend to be nicer in the photos than they do inhand. I've gotten a few from that shop before.

Good luck finding a cheap Hannibalianus. There are only a handful of them available at most times. Cheapest one I've seen lately is about $230.

I'm surprised you didn't jump on this one Gil-galad. It seemed cheap compared to most I have looked at. Yeah, that Hannibalianus is going to be a real bugger to get.

If you haven't noticed the coins I've been posting lately.

Yes, I see you have been smoking the check book lately. Glad you didn't pick this one up.

Nothing like aiming for the top! In terms of condition I would guess that this one would sit rather well in your growing collection of Romans.
Perhaps you should aim for some late Roman Gold. THEY can smoke your checkbook, but if you think and choose carefully, the checkbook won't be completely charred.
Solidii of Leo 1 can be had relatively cheaply.

sel Roman gold is definitely on my list of wants. Thought I'd get as many of the cheaper pieces before jumping on the gold coins.
