And I read a little bit about the person who started the topic and said he was interested in horses. I am really interested in penguins, and I thought it would be really neat to see some coins out there that have penguins on them. Does anybody out there have some? Report this Post to the Staff

Gwyde Pillar of the Community Belgium 506 Posts	Posted 04/18/2013 07:15 am In the late 20th century, when the currency in Ecuador still was the sucre, there has been a 5000 sucre silver coin depicting 2 Galapagos penguins: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces34408.html It's a fairly large (40 mm) coin in Sterling silver. I have the Falkland Island coins (they are just pennies for $0.50). And there were some others probably found in Krause Unusual coins catalog like: Adelie Land 200F Crozet Islands 200F Kerguelen Islands 200F I found these for $22 apiece on Joel Anderson's pages Report this Post to the Staff
