Hello everyone! I had seen a topic about "Post Your World Coins With Horses"? And I read a little bit about the person who started the topic and said he was interested in horses. I am really interested in penguins, and I thought it would be really neat to see some coins out there that have penguins on them. Does anybody out there have some?

In the late 20th century, when the currency in Ecuador still was the sucre, there has been a 5000 sucre silver coin depicting 2 Galapagos penguins:

It's a fairly large (40 mm) coin in Sterling silver. Low mintage, so it probably never has circulated.

The Royal Australian Mint has produced a Rockhopper Penguin coin, which is still currently available.

I found these doing a pdf search on my Krause Catalog:

Australia KM199
China, People's Republic KM1091, KM1092,
Cook Islands KM128, KM216, KM219, KM304, KM343
Ecuador KM98
Falkland Islands KM2, KM2a, KM25, KM25a
France KM1011
Gibraltar KM336, KM336a, KM336b, KM336c, KM742
Isle of Man KM898, KM898a,
Korea, North KM70
New Zealand KM66, KM66a
Somalia KM63, KM108
South Africa KM176, KM179

Most of these were 'affordable' based on catalog value (but that is a matter of personal economics). I have the Falkland Island coins (they are just pennies for $0.50).

And there were some others probably found in Krause Unusual coins catalog like:
Adelie Land 200F
Crozet Islands 200F
Kerguelen Islands 200F
I found these for $22 apiece on Joel Anderson's pages
