A solid MS63 due to a few detracting marks on the reverse "O" and the small line above the 49 on the obverse. Overall a solid a respectable coin.

this is cool coin. you can see the die polishing marks on the fields. Obv rim tick at 4 o'clock and a couple small hits in AMERICA keep this from any higher than MS65. she's a beaut!

MS-64 RD, scuffs on the obverse keeps it from 65

The biggest flaws are the scratches along Lincoln's jaw line and the rim ding next to the date. With those variables, I go with 64 RD.

All of you who graded this less than 65 need to spend some time on ha.com studying pictures/grades. Most people that post grades are far to harsh...here's a hint: Start at 70 and take away points for distractions. There's absolutely no way you can take away 7 points from this coin.

if you look very close, especially on the reverse, what some folks are calling hairline scratches appear to be raised and not sunken. plus the fact that they do not appear to extend across any of the devices. this would indicate that they are result of die polishing. IMO, there is no way that the surfaces can get that scratched up without some time of cleaning taking place. if that occurred, you would not be able to maintain the consistent luster pattern seen here. if this coin came back any less than 65RD, I would be surprised.
