I've finally achieved a Gordian II in an auction .... Does Not have very good quality,but is a Gordian II!  RIC 8 sear5 #8473 Gordian II AE Sestertius. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANS AFR AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / VIRTVS AVGG, S C across field, Virtus standing left, holding spear and resting against shield. This is one AE type that I am not expecting to come through my mail slot any time soon. After almost 40 years collecting I don't remember even seeing one up close.

There are two magnificent auction houses that have a lot of auctions quasi every month,and are very complete,at least in Roman Empire. Not sure if it is allowed to make propaganda ..... If anyone cares to know,there is no problem ...
