Hi Guys.
Do you use any kind of software to create your own personal Library?

Something along the lines of you buy a new coin (or find), then you add it to a piece of software (database) along with a picture of the front & back?

Emperor: caesar IMAGE FRONT IMAGE BACK
Material: Gold
Diameter: 20mm or Some Imperial size thingy (just an example)
Circa: 46-44 B.C
Obtained: 29/04/2013 or 04/29/2013 U.S
Condition: Fair
Etc
Etc

Just interested if something exists, if not I may be able to create a simple piece of software free for anyone to use, for personal or business use, think it would be a good tool.

Let me know your thoughts, you guys are the experts!

Cheers Guys

Richard

I am also very disorganized and have tried a couple of ways to keep track of things.

Now I've started using Microsoft One Note. It allows me to enter title, my photos and description, plus you can enter the sellers pics and info as well as any other info ....history, references, etc. and it's searchable.

It is a great concept Rich!

So far I have recorded each coin I have bought onto "Notepad" and with a JPEG of the obverse/reverse of each coin, then a Folder for each Emperor / Empress / Caesar etc.

A Freeware program that would make recording each coin easier, would be indeed great!
