Hi Everyone I'm new here to this very awesome website and I'm from Dunedin in New Zealand. I've been collecting old coins since I was 12 years old now 31 years old. Also been collecting very nice ancient Greek, Judean, Roman and world coins for 20 years now too. I'ts awesome to think who might used them back than. This is me too.

Good lookin' family there, Vaughn. We know you're into Dr. Who and Star Wars. I would hope that, as you're from New Zealand, you're also a Lord of the Rings fan. Been to any of the films' locations?

Whoops, sorry echizento. I didn't subscribe to this topic and missed your reply. The tour was one I do for the local museum I volunteer at in the town of Louth, Lincolnshire. We visit buildings and other sites featured in the painting below, which is a panorama painted in 1844, and I talk a little about their history. I think I'm at the old town workhouse in that picture

Sounds like it would be and interesting tour. I lived on Cape Cod Massachusetts for many years which has some of the oldest towns in the US. The town I lived in was established in 1639, many of the old buildings still remain and are opened four tours. On the street where I lived was the oldest still working farm in the US going back to 1639.
