I have to correct myself for saying above: "I doubt very much if the RCM has consulted with ordinary collectors when they developed their future plans." I forgot that earlier this year the mint asked me to complete a very long online survey covering all aspects of their operation, including the kinds of coins I would like to see in the future, as well as their service. I believe many folks were asked to complete the same survey, but I never saw the results of this feedback published anywhere. I hope it didn't all go into the recycling bin. Also, Mlalonde1977 said: Quote:My god, 16 coins for the june release!! They are crazy... I think it's time to boycott the RCM with all these releases... I'm out of the game since 2 months anyway... I just keep my MC status and buy the coins that I really like, but the more they release, the more I keep my hand on the brake... Like somebody said on this thread, they're going to kill the hobby... Well Mlalonde1977, I guess it's safe to say that you agree with me. As I posted somewhere on another thread, the mint is going to kill the geese (that's us) that buy their gold and silver eggs... Or, to put it in a more traditional way. The mint is going to kill the goose (that's them) that mints their gold and silver eggs...

Who cares how many coins they put out just buy the ones you like they are not forcing you to buy any or all of them. There are usually only one or two coins worth buying anyways per month how will that hurt the hobby the rest will be melted down when they do not sell.

Actually it's the only way to stop them from releasing so many coins and only releasing "quality" coins

Are there any particular coins to be looking out for? With all of these releases, it's hard to track everything the mint has to offer.

From Silveroid: Why not? IMO, there is interesting staff (to see and be aware of), but sure not to buy all that interesting and nice. I've noticed that sometimes Panda is a bear of few words.

Quote: What other forum are you guys talking about? I see nothing about 16 Coins anywhere. There's a listing here: http://canadacoins.ca/I don't see much on that list that I'd seriously consider buying. The mint is getting a little out of hand with these releases.

The Niobium coin is the start of another series. It's a little odd looking, purple and silver (think of the goose shaman coin). The PO doesn't have it as a subscription with a box, I suspect the mint will.
The bronze allegory coin is kind of cool, as well as the maple impression coin. The dino coin is of personal interest to me so I'm grabbing it. The wolf family is another that is nice. I wasn't sold on the dream catcher, but, it's not a total rip off so I might grab one as well.
Depending on your interests and commitment to subscriptions/series, it can be an expensive month. I'll probably end up with 7 coins, some in multiples...

^Does the dino coin have any gimmicks, or is it a straight up proof coin?
