"5 dwt 6 gr" (5 penneyweight 6 grains) is the weight of a British gold guinea, the standard gold coin in Britain at the time - equivalent to 8.4 grams. "Coin weights" such as these were used with a coin scale to determine whether or not a coin was genuine.
