Its interesting that they dont command much price in the UK. The ones found in the UK are, by and large, worn smooth. Most legend is gone, all details destroyed by time. The ones I've seen sell have sold cheaper than they would have been had they been found in france just because these never a nice one found over here.
This one was a couple of quid. I think I'm going to try and reconnect the two parts - use some playdough or some bluetac to form a bridge and block out the ugly bits.
