It has been electroplated with gold post-mint, there were no gold coins struck in the US during the period of 1934-1983.

I finally got back home. Took a second look at my gold penny and I don't know if it just me, but the face doesn't look right compared to other Lincoln's from the same date. The hair, hairline, nose, ear. They don't look the same. I'll try to take a little bit better pictures.

The face doesn't look right. The hair, hairline, nose, ear. They look different from pennies from the same year. There are also some pretty deep scratches on the face and there is no color change. Next is to weigh it but I don't have the tools or knowledge to discern any differences. I hope someone can help. Thank you
