I would also like to ask for second opinion regarding another piece of 8 reales, weight 26.94 g, 39-40 mm.

The only question mark for me is the sound, that is more "sober" than other silver coins.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

On your last picture, you show us a "stop" in the rim pattern.
Do you have the same "stop" at the exact opposite on the rim ? (12" apart)

Yes, there is a stop also on the opposite side, 180 degrees.

A SG test would give you the silver content of the coin, so you can be sure it's OK.
But according to what I see and what you tell me, everything looks OK to me.
The marks on the pillar side are adjustment marks : some silver was removed when the coin was made as it was too heavy.

The color is very flat grey, but that could be for a variety of reasons. I think I see metal stress/flow lines above the date. That is a good sign. I vote real.

The coin is no problem to me. See a similar one of mine. 27.02 grams, 39.8mm. Also have two stops in opposite sides. When my coin is hit with hard object, it does not produce a relatively long-lasting pitch of sound as other 90%Ag coins.
There are also adjustment marks on both sides of my coin.

Can anyone ask swamperbob for an opinion? I always have found his ideas valuable...
