Yeah, I'm glad to have got my hands on this one. I have two bullion ASEs in my collection, and my dad has a tube of 2002s, but I haven't bought any, let alone proofs, before this one. Can't wait until July.

Quote: I picked up a 3rd set at the bell today. I still have a few months to muddle over my decision and cancel if need be. I wonder how many other people are doing the same thing... I am, I have two orders in in case I decide to cancel some

I pulled the trigger on two more sets at 4:54 PM ET, bringing my total to 7 sets, same as last year. Three orders, 2, 3, and 2 sets respectively. On the two set orders, I threw in some mint storage boxes to take the the total to just over $300 so I will get the two day shipping.

Im not that shocked the 2012 pcgs 70 sets are selling for over 600 on ebay right now with a few pushing 700. I was shocked though that the west point first strike label was gone in hours

Ok...I am a bit embarrassed but I can now admit how many sets I ordered...kinda went "all in"...
US Mint: 10 sets (gulp)
GoldMart: 2 PCGS FS70 Flag sets and 2 PCGS FS70 West Point label sets
Silvertowne: 2 PCGS FS70 Flag sets & 2 PCGS FS70 West Point label sets
I had also ordered 4 NGC ER70 sets from MCM at $289. When GoldMart put them up at $239 I asked for a price match or an order cancellation....they canceled the order. I was actually kinda glad they did....I can submit my 10 sets and probably get the four 70 sets anyway....

I actually ended up with 4 from the mint. 2 early purchases and then 2 more yesterday. It sounds like many who did buy bought multiples - so there will probably be a low priced secondary market for this set. Since I don't need to cash out mine, they'll go to the safe for keeping and maybe a future sell of a set or 2.

I purchased two of these guys. One for myself to get my first reverse proof ASE and of course the new enhanced uncirculated. The second set is for my oldest friend who just graduated from university. I think it will be a killer graduation present!

I purchased one for posterity from the Mint - I think it will have a few month run on ebay & then settle down to more "normal" pricing.

I ordered two sets on the first day and stayed put. Should get them in two weeks. (IIRC, I did reply to the poll when it was open, so don't add the two.)

Final tally 281,310? An increase of 30,000 in the last 2 hours? How is that possible, unless the big dealers submitted large orders in the last moments?

Entirely possible. A lot of people wait to see the final mintage and buy more if its low as well. There was a run at the end of last years as well its just that most of them ended up being canceled after seeing the quality of the other sets

Personally, I highly doubt that the number posted yesterday at 3:00 PM EDT included any sales from yesterday at all. I find it very hard to believe that the mint is capable of real-time tracking of orders and if they were posting them at 3:00 EDT each day makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever. The 30,000 increase is most likely a reflection of all of the sales made yesterday not just the last 2 hours.
