Well ...... While I hesitate to venture another 'guess' there is only one strong possibility left. Thetis the mother of Achilles.

FR you are right. Thetis, daughter of Nereus and one of the fifty Nereids. ( chrsmat71 nearly had it. ). It was at her wedding, attended by many deities, that the golden apple was tossed and was to be awarded only to 'the fairest' of the goddesses, which set in motion the events that led to the Trojan War. THESSALY, Larissa Kremaste. 302-286 BC. AE 17mm, 5.7g. Obv. Head of Achilles left Rev. LA-RI, Thetis seated left on hippocamp, holding shield of Achilles with AX (=Achilles) monogram. Well now that wasn't so hard now was it ! Yes yes a rather dashing and 'suave' looking Mars looking back over his shoulder. Must have been Rome's disco period ... Sear #254 Republican Denarius 88BC Cn Cornelius Lentulus
