OK, since no one else has posted one, here's a deity from a coin I stumbled upon this morning while looking for something else. It's a very interesting issue and I hope to find an affordable one for my own collection.

Not Cybele.

The attribution for this coin lists two names for the deity. Either there isn't agreement or it is an alternative name. The former, probably, from what I'm reading.

Names and traditions of ancient mythology often confuse me.

Hi all,

Thanks for your welcome greetings!
I was not here yesterday to continue the guess-game :)

For the bust shown by ThisIsFun, I would guess Demeter?

It is neither Demeter nor Diana.

Maybe this will help (or not...): a Roman emperor is also on this coin's obverse.

As best as I can tell by research (ie, Google), none of the names mentioned so far are alternative names for the deity on this coin.

It's not Roman Imperial, but you probably already knew that.

OK I am not sure. I thought about Berenike but this is GTG haha. Berenike is the wife of Ptolemy II. Oooops.

Not Tyche, Not Bernike.

The coin is Phoenician.

And I'd really really like to get one of these. In the quality of the posted coin it would be very expensive. I've seen a few others on the market right now but the features are too worn. I will keep an eye out for just the right one. Hopefully there is some middle ground.
