Hmm, mine is AU-58... so not so bad as such? It's an expensive coin though. Even a G-4 lists at $130. It's the most expensive Canadian 10C not including the 1889, 1884 & 1875-H or varieties like 1893 Round Top 3 or 1913 Broad Leaves.

Indeed yours is great a top 20 of anything is awesome. All I was stating is that they are encountered in lower circ grades often. How old is the certification on yours? 2 letter embossed MIGHT upgrade!

Mine is actually graded by NGC. It's in an older holder. NGC grades 10 total. The highest being a single MS-64 and mine is the second highest graded as the only AU-58. Followed by one AU-55, one AU-53 and two EF-45's.
Surprisingly, NGC grades 16 1875-H's, 13 1884's and 9 1889's.

ICCS does not need a website, as long as you are here Jack...

The numbers for 1947 ML and 1948 dollars in MS60-65 would be interesting to me, and if you could go back to the @wireman09 request and add the 1947 ML 50 cent.

Quote: ICCS has been at this almost 29 years now and not one single 1936 dot cent or 10 cents in MS or circulated ever graded ..................shocking! Heh... I imagine very few of the old CCRS crowd is around to fully appreciate exactly what you were inferring here, but it made me chuckle...

Glad I can make your day ! !!!! Is there any thing that you would like researched in the book (tool) of ICCS Knowledge? There are rumours of a 1937 Pattern Edward VIII Silver |Dollar , alas that was not found either ?

Thanks for those numbers, Pacificoin. I find the dynamics between mintage, grade, value, population reports, and collector perception interesting to ponder. Particularly with the 47ML and 48 dollar and half, whose mintages are so close to each other. So in MS, ICCS has totals of 1019 for the 47ML dollar, and 1217 for the 48. Combining NCG and PCGS, 1501 for the 47ML and 1976 for the 48.
Combined by grade for the dollars 60 62 63 64 65 66 67 (61 is added to 62 for NGC and PCGS): 47ML: 370 539 417 151 10 12 2 48: 615 809 427 102 16 7 0
So I ponder whether the perception of value causes more 48s to get graded, and possibly more cross-graded, or just more hoarded in higher grades which is the conventional wisdom. What I found interesting is that in >= 64 there are actually more 47MLs - 175 total versus 125 for 1948. I realize it's been discussed ad nauseum so I don't mean to derail the thread, just interesting to see the ICCS numbers. Comparing the grading services for combined 47ML and 48 in MS64 or above, ICCS gave 6.3% of the coins >=64, NGC 7.1%, and PCGS 14.6%. Lots of fun stuff to look at in the numbers.

Kbb good stuff ! I have always thought that the 1947 ML was underrated and underpriced as compared to the 1948 which I have always thought of as overrated and overpriced. The only good reason I ever came to is , the 1948 is a story coin and was known to be scarce from the get go (sold for $4 as early as late 1949) AND THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT (IN THE MINDS OF COLLECTORS ) 1947 COINS. Usually a person puts a date set together so a 1947 Blunt usually suffices. Glad to have helped you. I have all of the ICCS reports going back to the early 2000's. interesting to see what shows up on a year over year basis.

Can you please clarify the numbers for the 1949 silver dollars in MS65 and above? I don't know if I'm reading the numbers correctly in one of your previous posts!
Thanks for the information!
