PCGS Slab Labeling Question

I was looking at an auction and saw that PCGS labeled one of their slabs incorrectly. Put 1939 instead if 1939-D. Does this mistake normally hurt the value if the item, increase it, or not matter?

Wow, Jdavis. I have never heard of that and would assume that is may ADD some value, just IMO. To me I would view it as an error similar to that on the coins. Post pics is you are able.

I've seen a good number of NGC slabs that were incorrectly labelled, but fewer PCGS (tho' I have seen a few). I doubt many collectors would pay a premium for an incorrectly labeled slab, and I think that you can get them to correct your slab for not much money.
