Whats the standard for getting change from the bank, whenever I go in and ask for change I'm always looked at funny and its not even that much maybe $50 here and there... make me feel like I'm buying drugs or something!

When I used to get coins to search, I found it was easiest to tell the teller exactly what I was going to do. I hope to be be starting it up again soon. Make sure when you take the coins back, don't use the same Branch or you might end up getting back coins that you've already searched.

I get $100-worth on payday - 60 x $1 and $10-worth of each of 50, 20, 10, and 5-cents. I predict that sooner or later the fives will be withdrawn, and it will be useful to have a stock of clean examples for trading. Of course, I'm happy to hang on to any 1972 that fall my way.

ok, sorry to all - I originally thought that you had to have 50 posts to access some internal sales board or something - I now realize (at least it is the only thing I can come up with that makes sense) that saying I had something that others wanted and to contact me was a violation because I don't yet have 50 posts... sorry for my mistake.

If you want bulk bags then order them in advance. I get $200 bags of 50¢ and $100 bags of 20¢ and they come from from whichever security firm they bank uses, sealed from the central depot. I do 50¢ and 20¢ alternate weeks. This means my returns often cover the branches change requirements (read on....). Also, ask the teller if they would like returns (for next lot) to be put into the little zip-lock change bags. That saves them doing it. I suspect this would work best in a small branch and would just get you a funny look in a big branch. They will gladly supply the zip bags if they like this idea.

the best you can get is one from a mint bag, but of course finding a mint bag of 2000 coins now a days is the first challenge, then if you are lucky, it may have an incused or two. the last one I saw on ebay went for $383 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Incused-...t_500wt_1156
