That is true, I have started adding the actual shipping price on some of the things I have listed recently. Do you think the selling 3 times and not getting paid affected the item that was for sale?

I may do that. I have also considered breaking the lot into individual pieces. Do you think that would work?

So you think it may be a good idea to find cheap $3 or $4 things and sell a ton of them other than try to sell $30 things? Sounds like a good idea if I could sell a whole lot at a time. It really isn't worth it to me to package a box and do everything to make $2. However, if I sold several at the same time, that would make it okay. Do you think it is possible to do this?

I am by no means an expert on the used car part market. I just think that you need to set yourself apart from the rest of the sellers. This means you really have to research what each part you want to sell has be selling for. I am a firm believer that you do not want to price yourself lower than everyone else. Likewise, do not price yourself higher than everyone else. Find out what the average is and go with that. Avoid using the word cheap, avoid making your parts and listings look cheap. Cheap is not a term buyers associate with value. They associate cheap with quality, and who wants to buy cheap quality parts? What about cleaning your car parts? I know you are selling used parts, but would it be bad for your parts to look nicer than all the other parts offered? When establishing a reputation on ebay, every little extra you can do will help in the long run.

That would be a start. You have got to try a bunch of different methods and figure out what works best for you.

I sell both coins and classic car parts on ebay. Seal pretty much nailed it. I normally list my items at 99 cents to start and let them ride. You win some and you loose some. Offer a great return policy and quality pictures make a big difference.

In an auction setting, you cannot say it is a $70 part. In an auction setting, the bidders tell you how much the part is worth. I want to help you, but like I said before, I know nothing about the used car part market. What I do know is retail, and auctions. Answer a few personal questions about your products to help me understand. When you say $70 part, does that mean $70 is what it should sell for? How much $$ do you have invested in that part? What is the typical markup on used car parts?

I have sold on a forum before, however, ebay is easier for me on certain parts. I have considered the good till cancelled. Seal, when I say a $70 part, it is what the part should sell for and normally I have sold one before for that price. As of right now, whatever I sell will be pure profit, so I am about to start throwing the parts together and selling them extremely cheap. I don't buy these parts wholesale. When I get a vehicle that is to rough to fix, I pull all of the parts off of it and junk the rest. Then I sell the parts until I make a profit off of them.
