The eagles talons on the reverse are not actually holding the arrows or olive branch but are completely in front of them. Does anybody have any idea why that is? Report this Post to the Staff

nalaberong Pillar of the Community Canada 2805 Posts	Posted 07/20/2013 1:51 pm I didn't know they made incuse proofs, now I'm confused how that would work... wouldn't a frosted surface on the most raised parts make it a reverse proof (or specimen - I don't really know all the meanings of "specimen", but in Canada the modern specimen sets are reverse proofs where the fields are lined)...?
