WOW! That Perth Mint coin is just bad, bad, bad. William and Kate look horrid. Wonder if it had to be approved by the Royals before release? If so, what were they thinking? Thanks for posting shopaholic. Got an email from my rep to call him after 11:00 today about the 3 new releases. Will post descriptions if someone else doesn't post before.

Oh that's disappointing hearing that about the Perth's baby coin, since that's the one I bought I liked the way it looked on the youtube video and figured its was under $100 per coin.

Just read the description on Gatewest. No wood box for the set it sounds like. When they say "beauty box", that's gonna be cardboard with foil stamping for sure.
Guess they couldn't get custom wood boxes done quick enough to get these released. Too bad.
Also noticed that the mintage is listed as "while supplies last" for the 25 cent coin. They'll keep making them while there's demand.

I dislike these maroon boxes. Nothing unique about them. There must be millions upon millions of these boxes sitting in a warehouse.

You would think 9 months was enough time to make preparations to design a great display box. I hope that its not the regular issue clam shell.

As much as I don't like these Clamshell case, I prefer it more than the one The Royal Mint use.

Sorry correction
This beautiful set is protected in a richly printed beauty box with silver foil, adding a wonderful accent to the artwork

When I read the description again, it sounds like it's going to be a big maroon clamshell like the 2013 Fractional set with a beauty box outer. Anyone else think that from the description?
If so, that really stinks. Will have to wait and see.

Perth Mint coins look almost as bad the 1983 RCM's Charles and Diana. Sounds like no wooden box for the set...and no name on the coin. We should know in about 5 minutes.
