Yea. I have decided to give up looking at banks for a bit. Work brings me better results than three trips a day to two banks each for a week could ever bring me.
Yes. I was that pathetic.

Finding what works best for you is key. If it becomes a chore, then that's where it stops being fun. So if getting stuff from work suits you best, then go for it!

You will likely find more at the banks to be honest, but you are doing good at work. Keep it up. Whatever works for u

I love finding gems in change, I was stunned back in 2004 when I spied a wheatie penny in my change which was in really great condition with RB toning that featured luster from between the wheat. Figuring it was a late 1958 or '59 date I was delighted an mystified to see it was a 1909 that upon closer inspection was in EF/AU territory.
I don't think it was circulating for 95 years and am curious as to how such an old coin remained in such good shape only to be sent into circulation. I always meant to see if it was one of the small value coins Scott Travers puts into circulation hoping to generate interest in coin collecting.
Not knowing, I slipped the penny in a flip and the flip in my wallet thinking any penny which looked so good at 95 found in circulation was worthy of becoming my official "Lucky Penny."
Keep searching those rolls and pockets, you never know what you might find.

So today was hilariously awesome. Started work at 5 and absolutely found nothing except a chewed up dime. My last customer at closing was a woman who paid cash. She was 11 cents off from getting a dollar back and she said oh here I will give you that 11 cents. I apologized saying I could not except it because I already finished the transaction. Then I noticed a specific color. Quickly I said never mind I will be able to take it. Just as I thought. A nice 1958 no mint mark dime. Aw yeah. I like the toning. All of the background for both sides are slightly turning black making the protruding Parts stand out more. Not too noticeable on the obverse, but more on the reverse.

haha those are always great finds when you can spot stuff like that from that far away....i always have a good feeling leaving the bank after I notice a silver rim in the tellers tray and ask for a few dollars worth of either dimes or quarters so I know that one gets in my hand....i know there are others out there who have spotted from tellers as well and you gotta admit it is a good feeling

I thought I had seen one in the tellers tray before and I just asked to see. She thought I was crazy.
It was only a new dime :( Let us hope I find a winged liberty. :D

I also roll hunt while working. I only get to search when it's slow though. Working as a teller can be somewhat time consuming, and they dislike when you ignore members :) However, with that being said, I still make a point to look at the open rolls in my till before I hand out change. My 2 silver finds from rolls were a 2000 Massachusetts proof quarter and a 1968 Canadian dime.

I also CRH at work. I've found quite a bit but traded a lot of it in when silver was in the mid $30s. Some of my better finds include a 1925 Merc. Some Canadian silver quarters, a Franklin half. Totals for the last year would probably be 20 or so dimes 8 quarters 15 nickels 3-4 Halfs 1 Peace dollar. Its fun to to do while working.

I have been on vacation the past week, so I had no finds except for two coins I bought. August 10th was my first day back at work, and just before my shift was done, I had switched registers and found this 1964 D dime. I have heard of 1964 D dimes have a double dye error. Would any one be willing to tell me where? I need to get a loupe to find out.
