Well....I guess I'm older than a lot of you. When I was a kid you could still get Morgans and Peace dollars at the bank. I have an almost complete collection of LWC from Circulation. The same with Merc's..hmmmm...i would say an 1812 Large Cent that the clerk at the store wanted to get rid of real quick to a dumb kid because she thought it was fake.

I have found a 1922-D LWC a couple of years ago, probably a VG-8. Nothing like a Liberty nickel though!

My oldest is an 1891 V nickel that I got out of a box of nickels a few years back. About 75% of the coin was worn smooth, but there was enough of a date for an ID. As far as actual circulation is concerned, I worked as a cashier for nearly 4 years and saw my share of old ladies with penny jars. Oldest from that was a 1916-S cent.

Since I am older, I can remember the Silver coins in Circulation. I completed a set of buffalo,s from circ, some barbers, complete set of franklins, plus LWC`s and others. Most recently 1958 Canadian penny yesterday and 1936 and 29s Buffalo and several LWC`s common dates and some silver commons. Pickings are slim unless you are around when a kid spends Dads collection for candy. I got the 29S from being behind him in a check stand buying a candybar and I saw it and bought him the candy for the 29s.
