Any 2013 Lincoln Errors Out There ?

Collector-Corner Pillar of the Community 872 Posts	Posted 08/08/2013 11:51 pm We've been going through some rolls of the newer Lincolns, and we really haven't found much. I see a few minor errors and that is about it. Tonight we did find a decent die crack and what appears to be a die break, but its nothing to retire on. Your picture is a little bit too zoomed in but it might be a die crack or lamination, although I've heard that laminations for zinc pennies are somewhat rare. Best of luck. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/09/2013 10:25 am The coin has a die crack. A breakdown of the die that usually leads to retirement. Just normal wear and tear. I view errors as one of a kind. Wrong planchet, incomplete planchets, broadstruck, struck through errors, doubled struck, ETC. Die cracks, chips, die breaks, die wear, over polishings, clashes, stuff that happens to the dies a normal wear and tear. Not errors. IMOHO Report this Post to the Staff
