That's weird. My son swallowed a battery from a key fob (the thing attached to the key that you press the button to lock/unlock the car). It was about the size of a nickle. I won't bore you with details, but how strange that at least 3 of us following this thread had a similar experience!

Just a thought: Perhaps the scale at the second pharmacy was not as precise and maybe just rounded the measurement up to 3 grams?

Yeah, or did they give it to someone and they just rounded it up when they saw it.

Yeah, it is quite odd how it increased by over 10% from the first weighing process (which was spot on for the correct weight of the penny) to the second weighing.

hopefully Thursday I am taking it to the coin shop near my home. It has been crazy with my son lately and I have not been able to think of anything else.

I stopped by the coin shop yesterday but unfourtunatly they were closed. going to try again this weekend.
