Here's my latest pick-up. I love the natural progression of the rainbow toning...

Thats a nice one Dave! After toned Lincolns, toned dimes are my favorite.

Toning as presented here is very delicate, and can be in a quite unstable transitory state. The coin needs to be in an airtight capsule.

Thanks for the suggestion sel_69l. I was going to put it in a 2 x 2 flip...

@DaveH: putting it in a mylar 2x2 is OK; that's how most of my coins are stored.
However most of my uncirculated red bronze and copper coins still darkened, until I learned my lesson. My mistake was to use clear PVC album pages to hold the 2x2's. I ended up throwing ALL of those pages in the dustbin (that's about 120 x 20 pocket PVC album pages!), and completely rehoused my entire collection.
I now use a combination of archive quality Mylar or clear polypropylene 20 pocket album pages. I bought 60 pages of each. I also use black polypropylene slip cases for the albums. Don't make the same mistake some others of us here have also made. The climate for the storage of coins in Sydney is relatively benign.
