What Kind Of Error Is This? - Coin Community Forum

macsrus New Member United States 10 Posts	Posted 08/17/2013 9:56 pm I found a couple of quarters with possible errors; can anyone tell me what kind of error these are, if any? 1)1967 with raised specs on edge (obverse). 2)1994P with possible DD on "IN GOD WE TRUST", 1994, and P on the (obverse) side and the (reverse) side some DD on eagles beak and some on olive leafs. * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

rpmes Valued Member United States 388 Posts	Posted 08/18/2013 5:38 pm I agree with Jayman, the doubling looks flat and shelf like. Classic sign of MD. Machine Doubling does not add a premium to the value of the coin. And thanks to Jayman, Coop, and many others, I am now aware of this too. Really wish there was a premium for MD coins.
