Hi all,
I have a nice George III 1806 farthing Spink 3782.
Spink states " incuse dot on tr ".
I just wonder if someone can explain what that means.
Thanks.

Yes, but if it is Truncation, ( to shorten ) what is that referring to on the coin?

The truncation is the cut-off stump of the neck on the bust. Specifically, when the portrait of it appears to show the surface of the cut, like a head severed from a statue.

I have posted pic of the coin so maybe you could explain in more detail exactly what I am looking for.
Spink 3782 gives 2 values.
One says K. on tr
The second says incuse dot on tr

Where you need to be looking (or where we need a clearer, close-up pic) is that narrow wedge along the left 1/3 of the bottom edge of the bust, above the numeral 1. I can see a speck of reflection there, but no detail.
Can you see the K on this pic?

Yes, I can see the K on that pic. And from looking at that I can see on my coin that there is a K there. But very hard to read.
Thanks very much for the info. Really appreciated.
