nice pictures! I probably would not of caught this with it looking like a VLDS as you stated...but it looks like it to me..nice find...and hey even though it is ms62 its still a UNC RPM and to me a RPM in any grade is good when I find one haha

I would have missed it too... I've been looking for this coin since I started collecting. I think I'm going to have to buy an example so I know exactly what I'm looking for.

Thank you for the . 1956D's are obverse finds. Looked at this date more than any other coin. Look at mint mark, eye, over date; with 20X loupe when sun comes in window in the morning. Separate coins to look at under microscope for afternoon or cloudy days. Been finding some over mint mark 2's, so always check for slightly SE lines west of the "9" for this over mint mark.

I haven't seen found yet. On later die states the RPM goes away completely. On the earliest they are the strongest. (Probably removed when they polished the dies to remove a clash.)
