I'm working on a slabbed type set that includes all the coins in the Dansco 7070 plus a few additional types. I don't plan to crack them out for the reasons stated above. Overall I have about 90% of the types required although I may still upgrade a few.

I'm with MatthewVincent - no 7070 for me. I'm in the minority regarding the 7070 because I just don't get it. I prefer to collect a series of interest in depth, and not as an overview.

I meant to do that but the concept fell apart as I had to hustle out of the room in Tokyo for my pickup for my flight home! (Can any Moderator add it? Or should we just leave it as is?) Thoughts?

I hit 55 of 76 today with the addition of a T1 standing liberty 1917 quarter in VF30. although one of those is a true filler as I bought a worn 1818 large cent for $2 to just fill a hole :)

I have 12 holes in my set, mostly small coins two gold dollars, Half Dimes and some bust coins. I'm glad I got my gold coins back in the 80's.

I'm not doing the gold page & have 14 holes to fill. That puts me in the 75-100% category but I voted for the 50-75. I haven't made much progress in quite a while.

Joe2007,
Is your set in a registry? If so, can you post a link? I look looking at folks 7070 sets. Thanks.

I'm (slowly and inconsistently) doing a 7070, but don't have the actual album itself, just getting the coins.

I do have one. I have most of the common slots filled and I am currently working on the earlier issues (mainly the bust and Seated coins). In fact, I just bought an 1855 Dime to go in it yesterday.
