Hi Jays-Dad.
I'm going to a coin show tomorrow in Santa Rosa, Cal., and hopefully can find a good deal on an Azores coin. I'm looking for any denomination of year 1934.

I bought bulk coins only once from ebay. One good thing that came of it, I got started in collecting tokens, because there were quite a few in the bulk "coins", along with a LOT of coins from Mexico.

I have lately added Cuban, Jamaican, and Soviet coins to my list of "look out for". I have focused on US, Canada, and Mexico and a few UK pound coins(silver and business strikes).

I always liked the Jamaican dollar and have been recently intrigued by what the inflation has done to theicoinage, particularly the dollar. My first, a 1991 was similar to the current UK pound in size and style (edge engraving). Now the dollar is as small as a US dime and made of what appears to be steel and is far less appealing but same design. My inlaws are on a cruise stopping there and I gave them money to bring back hoards of change (1 USD = ~70 Jamaican Dollars). Cant wait til they return, forget the Blue Mountain coffee we gave them money for...I want the round pieces of metal.
