Quote: I did want to ask though do you think it would be easier to use a sander or a knife sharpening stone to smooth an Ike edge enough to use as a screw driver? Come on, this is not your first rodeo! Use whatever method you previously used on your Morgan dollars. Quote: Isn't it illegal to do that, though? The last thing on Earth I would want to deal with is having a Secret Service agent at my doorstep asking lots of unpleasant questions. No, it is not illegal unless your intent is to defraud someone.

Not sure what the focus on symbols of death & horror is, but this guy is definitely talented. May these should be called Poebo nickels? And these are a lot less scary than the 2008 political effigy painted over top of the OBV of some of the gold plated JFK halves I find while roll searching.

I'm not sure what the seller used to carve it. It would be interesting to see how they do it.

I don't have the talent to carve a nickel yet, but I won a "Virtual Hobo" contest here on CCF back in 2011. I also started reading some of the engraving forums. The talent some of the carvers have if unreal! Someday I hope to try my hand at some "Hobo Art." This was my winning "coin" in the contest. It fits in just as well with the government shutdown going on now as what was going on back in 2011. The original thread was https://goccf.com/t/91793&SearchTerms=virtual,hobo if you want to see the other "Virtual Coins." Ben
