To the large cent specialists, is this a die break between the leaf and rim at 9 o'clock, and is it anything of particular interest to variety collectors of this series?

TIA,
jello

It is a die crack. Some collectors look for them, and others do not. They are fairly common.

Yes those are die breaks-I have not seen any quotes for die breaks-there do seem to be a lot though for the series--I have several--is that wax on the 1859? Appears from the photo that it might be a recut 9. wipe the coin with a clean cotton cloth and take a glass for a real good look see. If so is worth big bucks. The 5 appears to be doubled too-never seen a listing for that.
