In another thread I spoke about an experience in a dealer store a week or so ago.
Yesterday, while at the store, I was able to buy one of the coins for $25.00. This 1921-S Morgan dollar was so dirty you could barely see anything. I took it home and last night soaked it in acetone for an hour, I rinsed it off and here is what it now looks like.

I would like you folks to grade this.

Weak strike. 40ish. Could go 45 with some remnant luster.

I was thinking EF 40 at first glance.
Rest in Peace

Seriously, my F15 guess was probably a little low,
Maybe more like VF, IMHO..

Here is a 1921-S NGC EF45 example: (Thornhead VAM)

Night Hawk, I think your coin is much nicer then mine.
I think it is just in the VF range...(my coin)
This is the first Morgan I have ever bought.
Now I need to find a 1921 Peace dollar. :)

Nights coin is hammered, that's why it looks so much nicer.

Hammered = Nailed = Well struck...
Many of these were not.

Look for hammered coins, especially on 1921 High relief Peace dollars.
