Yes a great start to your quest and the right choice of grading companies for the hard slabs I like CCCS hard slabs the best of all of them

Some update: mission failed! I'm selling my 1913 golds to fund life. Unfortunately I don't have enough credits here, so I am selling on ebay, CL, and Kijiji. Both coins must go together and all I really want is to have CAD $1500 net after all fees (Which is about $250 lower than what I originally paid). Let me know if any of you guys are interested. I assume the silvers will be next, followed by bronze (who knew a daycare would be so expensive). Note to moderators: I'm guessing such a post don't violate any rules since my ebay ID already advertises those coins.

I hear you on the daycare front osmium!!
I had to secure a spot for my littlest one although my wife doesn't go back to work until February... we had to start reserving the spot in Nov.
(We have been on some waiting lists for over 3 years and still far from the top... I am half considering putting a blank spot right now just to secure a spot for my grandchildren at this rate)
Anyways.. you're coins are beautiful.. I wish you luck in finding a seller .. as well as a good daycare provider....
Cheers

>>(We have been on some waiting lists for over 3 years and still far from the top... wow, over 3 years?! What list is that, AgCoinAu! For ours, we had to be on the list for about 4 months, but thankfully they did take him in at the right time. >>I am half considering putting a blank spot right now just to secure a spot for my grandchildren at this rate) >>Anyways.. you're coins are beautiful.. In Winnipeg all registered daycare providers can go to a "list" which you can sign up on through the city of Winnipeg. If a spot becomes available the daycare can refer to the list generated by the city and contact you to see if you still want the spot....
Daycare centres also run by the same company may also have their own "internal" list for siblings etc... so it's good to ask about those too..
(I may be a bit fuzzy on the details but that is the way I understand how my wife explained it to me... while I was watching monday night football... so all details may not be exact)

Wow, that's some loooooooooooooooooong queue, Ag! Seriously! Update on the coins: the $10 has been sold (for $1199 CAD). The $5 is still available (please check out my ebay account).

Yes it's absolutely stupid...
But it's almost Feburary and the kids are now in childcare... all is going smoothly... I try to tell myself these are the "thin" years... and it's only just money... nobody died saying how happy they were with how much money they had accumulated and have in their account.. so I don't care if I spend a little now and again...
Speaking of spending money... it's a nice gold piece and pittman penny you have there.. hope you find a buyer...I'm socking all my pennies away for the upcoming legacy auction then I might be out of the coin game for a long while as well...
