Dead end series. Misadvertised, overpriced by twofold, too small and mass produced.

Yes, but I still like them....

Oh my, I just realized I collect these because I like them and even though they don't have much if any chance of increasing in value...

I like the goose, however I am not usually a fan of the holiday ones. I am thinking that when they go up for sale, I will try to pick up a goose and a bobcat. I agree with wlouison, they are hit or miss for me as well. I too bought the wolf and iceberg and did not purchase the hockey or santa. I prefer the animal subject. To each their own. Looking forward to seeing them go up for sale not in a subscription

Decided not to get subscription.
I think it enough for me complete set of the first 10 coins, organized in the box.

The next 20for20 - will buy selectively.
They could be attractive, nice and inexpensive, but I do not need them all.
In addition - some duplications (for example The Wolf and the same Wolfe on the "O Canada $10" coin and "The Goose" will be part of 2014 O Canada).

So, will buy individual coins.

There's no special deal in getting the subscription. And I highly doubt the coins will sell out before you have a chance to place your order. I think its better to wait and to see the designs before ordering. Although I disagree with it being overpriced, it is after all $20 cash for a $20 coin.

That being said, I do like this design. A great way to start of the year.

what's the cons not getting the $20 "credit card" for a $20 coin? maybe storage?

I would say lining up in the bank and you may have to explain what the coin is to the manager. My friend said they had to call the mint to confirm. But I can't see the harm in purchasing one if you want to collect them. I've stop buying the 3 pack and have been purchasing one since last year just to complete a series.

will try to say how I see it:

not really the storage, but why to have an item, that you actually have no interest in it.
Yes, complete series looks good, but regarding this series I "tired" to see "Maple, Canoe, Bear..etc that I like and some others that I don't like".

If Mint will produce single, nice box that will hold them all - yes, I'll buy.

What are you doing with empty cards, guys?

Silveroid , I think you can buy boxes that will hold these coins, not sure atm which one etc, but I know some have played around with different boxes and some work quite well. I know its not quite the same thing as a box made by the mint that is specifically made for these coins.

Yes, true, Notherncoins.

The first 10 coins I store in 1976 RCM display box (it designed for 10 gold coins and the "20for20" looks great in it), but only 10.

Seems the mint is going to try to sell all of these as subscriptions. They can't be ordered individually yet but I'm sure they will fail at the former and allow single sales sometime later.

I just went ahead and ordered the subs. I guess I can always cancel or return them later if needed.

From the mint website:

The 2014 $20 for $20 coins will be available to purchase as single coins while supplies last.

Yes, if they don't sell out as subs. You cannot buy them NOW as individual coins.
