I enjoy this series. The designs have been pretty good for the most part and you can't get a silver coin from the RCM for any cheaper. I will keep buying!

I have 3 or 6 of every release since the very first one, and would never have bought some of them if it wasn't 20$ face value (santa, reindeer, queen, etc.) We now have a few people that succesfully exchanged them at a bank, so maybe it's a bit more complicated than we originally thought, but still a zero-risk investment.

@TIPIT: I also started with 3 of each...till 6-th coin. One of each displayed, some of them I gave as a gift. But what to do with the rest? Yes, possible (in theory) investment for the long time. In other hand....you see, people manage to exchange them back...for $20 So, yes, collectible and not losing value. I not sure if I need the non-attractive among them more than $20 bill.

Did you, "20for20" series collectors, see this one: Royal Canadian Mint Genuine Leather "$20 for $20" Coin Casehttp://www.cdncoin.com/product-p/623932721500.htm*Need to say: It genuine by RCM, but wasn't designed for "20for20" but for the gold coins. It has 24 slots that will be enough for 1+ year of these series. What do you think: is it really useful, displayable...etc? Does someone have it? And I do not ask about the price, but about usability of the item.

Seems pretty old fashioned, if you try to display it it needs a support or some form of stand.
You would almost never use it to bring it anywhere and it just appears they had a good number of these from a very old source or in the attic or something.
Sure it holds 24 coins but at that price as well you might as well find a custom box or use coin stands/easels.
Easels work really well with lights and glass.

Easels work really well with lights and glass. I think this kind of holder is made more for transporting the coins from one place to another than to display them.

The face value is a very deceitful marketing strategy by the mint, since the coins do not have to be accepted by anyone for any goods or debts or any kind. The O Canada Coins are likely about equally liquid, though don't they have a smaller mintage?
