You would almost never use it to bring it anywhere and it just appears they had a good number of these from a very old source or in the attic or something.

I included that thought, but honestly almost no one transports them, and this case shouldn't justify you transporting it either.

Did you, "20for20" series collectors, see this one:

Royal Canadian Mint Genuine Leather " $20 for $20" Coin Case

http://www.cdncoin.com/product-p/623932721500.htm

*Need to say:
It genuine by RCM, but wasn't designed for "20for20" but for the gold coins. It has 24 slots that will be enough for 1+ year of these series.

What do you think: is it really useful, displayable...etc?
Does someone have it?
And I do not ask about the price, but about usability of the item.

Thanks for the tip Silveroid!

Just like the $20 for $20 coins, I think this leather case (Made in Canada) is a no lose deal for $38.88.

Where else could you find some thing like this?

I will make a classy way to keep a set or two of these coins. Of course the COAs won't fit and will have to be stored separately, but foe me that's no big deal.

So all to say I ordered one...

Too bad the "guys" talked you out of buying one, Silveroid. However you can always change your mind.

I'm pretty much done with the 20 for 20 series. THe face value thing is cool but that really only matters as an out if you plan to dump the coins at a bank or impress a waitress with one as a tip. Somewhere in this form a few days ago there was some great wisdom from one of the pillars of the comunity. $20 for a 20 for 20 1/4 ounce not proof or one of the many 1/2 ounce proof choices for just under $40.00 with a much smaller issue.

Coin Community is pretty awesome and my thanks for the geat wisdom.

Again, we're talking about better value for money, etc. $20 for 1/4 Oz. or $40 for 1/2 Oz. at a way lower mintage - I can understand why some people would want to stop buying the $20 for $20. However, I love this series because it is really quite cheap as coins go and some of them are quite nice. I loved the Wolf and Iceberg this year, regardless of how many were made. They are still nice coins, and WAY cheaper than some 1/4 Oz. Martin Short 1/4 Oz. - $49.95, Animal Architects 1/4 Oz. - $69.95, just as two examples.

The high mintage may not make them very 'serious' collector items, but I'm still going to buy the $20 for $20 coins that I like. It's not worth it as a series to buy them all, but coins like the Wolf, Iceberg and the new Canada Goose to be out in January will all certainly have a place in my collection.

Actually they make nice gifts as well. Be it a stand alone or add on gift. Ofcourse I would appreciate any coin as a gift for that matter!

I agree with you NuMoosematist, congratulations!

I wanted to buy it also. The most important thing is that you like it!

I won't participate in the subscription as I am not really one for Christmas or non wildlife coins. I do love this series and will buy the goose and bobcat. I have heard people complain about the finish on the coin, but I actually really like the way they are finished...a bit more rugged to me!
