Here's one of my latest buys from northcoin. It is an LC-49. There was enough of the host coin details to ID what it was struck over. Looks like it started life as a Bristol and London nail manufacturer 1811 ship half penny token.

Rotating the photo of the host coin photo should make it easier to see what I saw on that overstrike.

On the Ships Colonies & Commerce token can any one confirm my thoughts that this is PE10-41A or tell me which you think it might be? Round knob ampersand, straight flag, H Mint mark with possible double H, medal die rotation.

Hey, how about some "modern" tokens?
Post-Your-Canadian-Tokens Post-Your-Canadian-Tokens
This was distributed to Alberta schoolchildren to commemorate our 50th anniversary as a province (1905 - 1955).

50 years later, I got the Alberta Centennial medallion! I took very good care of mine and the design is a real winner. These classic pieces of Albertan numismatics can often be found mixed up with Klondike dollars and their enemies, Calgary Stampede dollars. Klondike Days had an existential crisis and became the unspeakably lame "Capital X" for a while, but it has been just recently rebranded as "K-Days" and everyone knows what that K really stands for. However, Edmonton has not seen a revival of the venerable Klondike dollar, although it is probably a Trade dollar series that is worth collecting.

A silver medal issued by the Halifax coin club in 1961 to commemorate 100 years of using the decimal system in Nova Scotia. Their first coinage was issued in 1861.
