I'm slowly building date sets of Canadian minors from random odd-lot pick-ups. It's often surprising what can be found down here in the 'lower 48' if one gets out and about a bit. Seldom, however, are the finds this clean and un-worn. This is now my best pre-WW2 quarter. I suspect the wear it shows is primarily from auction house mishandling. It was loose in a boxlot of mixed foreign. Got lots of fingering and shuffling before it was sold. Grade opinions welcome. Thanks for looking in. -msy

AU-50. Some of the technical stuff is worn but the overall appeal is that of a high AU/MS.

Too much wear for a 40.Check the band of the crown carefully - too much detail missing.

Thanks for all the replies, folks. Wow, what a spread of opinions.
Here are a few more shots taken in natural (somewhat cloudy) daylight. Best I can do with the camera I have.

Slight change in my grade due to the second pics.

Now VF30 to maximum ef40.

ICCS would never grade that coin ef45 and higher.
