Thanks for catching that, I'm a little embarrased though! I added them to the list and QC'd the rest.

This is great! It's very organized. Fancy making one for the more modern coins?

I'm sure you'll pardon my ignorance, but what is a 7070? I realize I'm just a newbie, but I want to know wverything, NOW! I may not have that much time! LOL Dick

'7070' refers to the album number, Dansco album #7070. It's a very popular U.S. Coin Type Set. I didn't know what they were a few months ago until I asked, and bought one on ebay. It has now become my favorite album.

If you look at the spreadsheet it'll tell you what's in a 7070.

arthrene: Do you mean making a date / series log? ie. Lincoln cents? I haven't considered it since I'm not collecting anything but the US Type set right now. What set did you have in mind?
garylcsr: I'm a "computer guy" by trade, so I learned the formulas at work and school. The coins and dates were all unique so it took me a while to key in everything. However I'm still finding wrong dates here and there!

I'm not doing a 7070 right now because it's out of my price range but something similar for the wheaties, lincolns, nickels, dimes and quarters would be nice. It's probably a lot of work to make such a great spreadsheet but any of those would be helpful!

A date set might actually be easier to do than this one was. I'll give it a shot soon.
I've updated the original post with another updated version of this spreadsheet (with the help of the forum parents to make it available for download)! Details are on page 1 in the original post, thanks for the compliments.

Thanks for the info, re the "7070". I figured it had to be something that tied the "physical" collection, and the software. I have a couple software programs, "Coin-Pro 2005", and another "Software for all things". I haven't done much with either, because, I have never had any formal training in the "keyboard" side, although I can build my computer and make it do anything I want. I have done that for several years. I am planning on using Excel to make a file of what I have, at least in the cent varieties. Dick

thanks to this spreadsheet I was able to answer my own question. I piucked up a used 7070 and was wondering if anything was missing other than the page w/modern, bicentennial, etc. Turns out the book was from before the Ike dollar. I'll have to figure out a way to include it. Ziggy
