dsfreeworld Pillar of the Community United States 4337 Posts	Posted 01/05/2014 10:57 am 1849-O is a scarce date, I do not believe it is considered a semi-key but it is scarce nonetheless...find one with a slight 5 degree rotation to the right reverse and you've a true rarity in your collection the story behind this coin is that I purchased it direct from Fortin who acquired it direct from a Stacks sale of Kam Awash dimes back in 1990. It's got great provenance when you consider the names involved and also, the A-2/F-102 designation adds to the appeal for the variety collector.
