Are those die cracks on the obv? I never realized how messed up the reverse rim is on these. My 1945 is the same.

MS60 +. Just learning, so don't know if die cracks would enhance or deter, if that is 2 die cracks on the obv.

How's the 19 portion of the date? These nickels also have a doubling variation. I don't see it with the 44 part but who knows. Nice pictures too.

kbbpl I think the reason the reverse rim is like that is because for the victory nickels they put Morse code around the rim.

Yes, Max_L, thanks, Charleton says it's "We Win When We Work Willingly". I'm not sure if anybody could "read" the bottom half of these rims though.
